Industrial Loft

Project overview

Located in a premier San Francisco, CA neighborhood, this commercial adaptive-reuse project focuses on converting a raw, expansive concrete footprint into a high-end, industrial-style residential loft. The client commissioned a comprehensive feasibility and interior design visualization package to map out a complex, multi-zone residential layout that required integrating a full kitchen, primary bathroom, private home office, and an independent laundry suite within an open-concept structure.

The primary spatial challenge centered on balancing structural zoning with clean architectural lines. To honor the building's industrial identity, the layout capitalizes on the massive architectural volume, leaving structural concrete columns, exposed ceilings, and utility pipework intentionally visible to anchor the desired aesthetic. The open floor plan was meticulously engineered with fluid, wide circulation paths specifically scaled to accommodate and highlight the client's collection of oversized, heirloom furniture pieces without crowding the living zones.

Using advanced digital drafting and 3D building software, we translated this complex spatial puzzle into a suite of photorealistic 3D loft renderings. These high-fidelity visualizations allowed the client to review the lighting distribution across the deep floor plate, verify the scale of the custom furniture integration, and experience the tactile contrast of the raw concrete against modern finishes. This package provided them with a definitive design blueprint prior to initiating the formal renovation and permitting phase.
